Laboratory of magnetochemistry is equipped with SQUID magnetometer (Superconducting Quantum Interference Device) model MPMS XL7 by Quantum Design, which is the state-of-the-art measurement system for detection of magnetization. The device operates in the temperature range 1.8 – 400 K and static magnetic field up to 7 T. Measurements of AC susceptibility at dynamic magnetic field up to 0.38 mT and frequency range 0.1 – 1500 Hz can be performed as well. A photoadapter enables irradiation of the sample at any temperature and magnetic field. The laboratory specializes in research of coordination compounds with thermally and optically switchable magnetism as well as with single molecule magnetism.
