The Slovak University of Technology succeeded in two Calls from the Recovery and Resilience Plan supporting the internationalization of universities. Following the Call for Support for Higher Education Promotion Projects Abroad, STU also received support for the audit of internationalization level and implementation of internationalization projects.
The Slovak Republic Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth published the results of the completed 10I04-20-V01 Call from the Recovery and Resilience Plan, regarding the audit of the internationalization level and the implementation of internationalization projects of universities and public research institutions.
After a thorough assessment of thirteen submitted projects, the panel of experts selected ten successful projects, including the STU one, that will receive support of € 600 thousand (+ VAT of € 12 thousand) in two tranches designated for Partial Project 1 and Partial Project 2. The projects were selected on the basis of their consistency, compliance with strategic documents, sustainability and their added value in the field of internationalization support in the academic environment in accordance with the Call.
"The aim of our Project is to assess the level of STU internationalization by identifying its strengths and weaknesses. It will focus on increasing the quality and efficiency of the current internationalization activities, as well as on the strategy and planning of internationalization activities for the future," explained Ľubica Vitková, STU Vice-Rector for promotion and foreign affairs.
The audit will be conducted in the form of self-assessment and assessment by external experts.
The first Project in the field of internationalization for which STU received support from the Recovery and Resilience Plan was from the Call to Support Projects for the Promotion of Higher Education Institutions Abroad. Its goal is to promote the STU abroad via participation in important education fairs, such as EAIE, NAFSA, APAIE along with regional fairs focused on countries in Asia, Africa and Europe. The Project will simultaneously support the STU synergy with our strategic partners and improve the STU website in English. The STU received support in the amount of € 455 thousand for the Project which is currently being implemented.
