The Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava will deepen relations with the Vietnam Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST). This was confirmed by signing the Memorandum of Cooperation at the meeting in Hanoi by Huynh Quyet Thang, the HUST President, and Oliver Moravčík, the STU Rector.
Cooperation with the Hanoi University of Science and Technology confirms the STU trend of building partnerships with universities on the Asian continent.
"We consider establishing contacts in the countries of Southeast Asia to be mutually very useful, as it is a dynamically developing region with a focus on technology development. In addition, Slovakia ties with Vietnam in particular are traditionally strong," said Rector Oliver Moravčík.
Both parties discussed the forms and potential of future cooperation, which was immediately confirmed by signing the Memorandum. STU and HUST agreed to cooperate in the areas of exchange of students, teachers, scientists and administrative workers, in scientific research, in exchange of academic materials, publications and information, as well as academic and scientific activities in common areas.
Rector Oliver Moravčík invited the HUST Management to visit STU, which should take place later this year.
