The Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava is deepening contacts with universities and scientific institutions in China. Rector Oliver Moravčík together with Maximilián Strémy, Vice-Rector for Strategic Projects, Development, Innovation and Practice have visited the Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) and the Institute of Advanced Technologies in Shenzhen, which is part of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Visit of the STU representatives to M.U.S.T. in Macao fastens on the cooperation with the STU FIIT (Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies) and the Memorandum signed between the two universities last year. On the grounds of M.U.S.T., they were welcomed by Li Xingwei, the M.U.S.T. President, and Li Xiaodong, the Dean for Science of the School of Innovation Engineering. The STU officials were given a brief overview of the M.U.S.T. development and opportunities for students. President Li Xingwei expressed his belief that there is great scope for cooperation in deepening internationalization and expressed his joy about welcoming STU students who will come to Macao for exchange and further study.
"I appreciated and was deeply impressed by the rapid development of M.U.S.T. in recent years. I believe that we will find as many opportunities for cooperation as possible - whether in the field of student exchange, joint R&D experiments and international projects," said Rector Oliver Moravčík.
The STU Rector visited the University Information Technology Exhibition Hall, the State Key Laboratory of Lunar and Planetary Sciences, the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the National Field Scientific Observation and Research Station of the Macau Coastal Zone, the Electric Vehicle Research Station, and also the Kangze Innovation and Technology Centre.
The STU representatives also visited the Institute of Advanced Technologies in Shenzhen, which is part of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Besides the Institute representatives, they also met with representatives of other Chinese universities, and informed each other about the possibilities of potential cooperation and the procedure of its establishment.
