Doc. Ing. MSc. Martin Klaučo, PhD. of the STU Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology, Institute of Informatization, Automation and Mathematics has become a personality of science and technology in the category under the age of 35. He was granted the award at a gala dinner on Friday, 10 November, which was culmination of the 20th year of the Science and Technology Week in Slovakia 2023.
Martin Klaučo received an award for his research and practical deployment of tunable explicit controllers for optimization of industrial applications.
"Let me sincerely congratulate to all the laureates awarded in the Science and Technology Week this year. Simultaneously, let me express my gratitude to all those working in the field of science and technology. The work of scientists is irreplaceable in our society, and it is more than desirable to highlight, appreciate and celebrate their achievements. I am therefore happy to state that this particular event is a form of appreciation," said Róbert Zsembera, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.
The Award was announced by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic; the organizer of the event was the Centre of Scientific and Technical Information of the Slovak Republic. The aim is to professionally and socially highlight the most important personalities of scientific life, scientific and technical teams, as well as the results attained in science and research in Slovakia.
The award for science and technology was granted in five categories: Personality of science and technology, Personality of science and technology under the age of 35, Lifetime merit in the field of science and technology, Populariser of science, and Science and technology team of the year.
Out of the submitted nominations, nine laureates were selected by the Evaluation Committee consisting of representatives of central administration bodies, universities, science and research institutions as well as representatives of other interested entities.
