On 29 January 2016, the STU Rector received a delegation led by Mr. Markku Markkula the President of the European Committee of the Regions (UCR).
Mr Markkula along with Mr. Aurel Trandafir, Head of Cabinet of the UCR President, Mr. Martin Berta, Vice-President of the Bratislava Self-Governing Region (BSR) and other BSR representatives Ms. Dagmar Glasová, Ms. Karin Bartošová and Ms. Dominika Forgáčová, Deputy Head of the BSR Office in Brussels were received by Prof. R. Redhammer, the STU Rector, Prof. M. Peciar and doc. Š. Stanko, the STU Vice-Rectors, and staff of the STU Department of International Relations.
The meeting focused on the mutual exchange of experience with dealing the University projects, the University involvement in the current grant challenges, as well as opportunities of the STU participation in an event of “Bratislava Innovation Camp 2016” held within the 7th summit of the European Regional Challenges in July 2016 under the auspices of the BSR.
