Possibilities of cooperation in the field of education, including a specific program for students from the Central and Eastern Europe, have been discussed by Oliver Moravčík, STU Rector, and Byeongdo Lee, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Slovakia, at the STU Rector’s Office.
Ambassador Byeongdo Lee presented the program supported by the government of the Republic of Korea to the representatives of the STU Management. The program offers mobility/study stays for talented students from the Central and Eastern Europe at one of the South Korean universities. It concerns particularly the study fields of IT technologies, artificial intelligence or advanced electrical engineering. The major part of the costs would be covered by the Korean side. Selected students may apply already in March this year.
Rector Moravčík thanked for the offer and reminded Ambassador Byeongdo Lee of the already existing cooperation of STU with two Korean universities. Rector stated that the project of the Korean government will appeal to at least two STU faculties. STU will therefore promptly evaluate it and finalize the details in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Slovakia.
