The Brno University of Technology hosted the General Assembly of the EULiST Alliance of Universities between 22 - 24 May 2024. The attending STU representatives were led by Oliver Moravčík, the STU Rector.
During traditional annual General Assembly, representatives of the Alliance partner universities evaluated the Alliance's activities to date, starting with financial support of the Erasmus+ grant within the European Universities Initiative in November 2023, through meeting the established milestones and criteria, up to enriching discussions.
"The event was also an opportunity to strengthen mutual ties and prepare cooperation in specific activities focused on the Project main areas, i.e. joint education, research and cooperation with practice," stated Ľubica Vitková, the STU Vice-Rector for promotion and foreign affairs.
Negotiations took place in individual working groups. The program included a meeting of rectors of the Alliance universities, a meeting of coordinators responsible for work packages and project management, a meeting of the Advisory Body and the meeting of the General Assembly.
The event also involved a number of stimulating meetings, workshops and panel discussions, focused on various aspects of the future of EULiST. It was accompanied by an attractive program providing a valuable framework for human contacts and strengthening the spirit of cooperation.
