Your diploma must be either Apostilled or superlegalized. This is a confirmation for us that your educational documents are valid.

An Apostille is a large sticker or stamp on the back side of your diploma. Apostilles are issued by a Ministry/State organization responsible for education. Apostilles are valid only for countries that have signed the Hague convention. Check if your country is able to Apostille your documents on the Hague Conference website HERE.

Superlegalization is for those countries that have not signed the Hague convention. In this case, a Ministry/State organization responsible for education will legalize your documents, and a Slovak Embassy in your country/group of countries will validate it as well.

Please note that we may request additional educational documents (such as a transcript of subjects from your previous level of education). You will be notified if such a request is necessary.

We are able to accept translations from certified translators only. A certified translator will always bind your documents together with a red, white, and blue string, have a round stamp with the Slovak national symbol and an appendix about being a certified translator that is attached as a last page with your documents. Unsure whether the translator you have found is certified? You can check the website of the Ministry of Justice, or the Slovak Embassy in your country.

If you have any further questions, or are looking for a consultation, contact us via email at barbora.urbanova@stuba.sk or education@stuba.sk.
