Profile courses

Employability of graduates

Graduates will find employment in chemical companies, universities, and research institutes. They can also be employed by consulting and construction companies as well as by domestic and foreign commercial - technological organizations. The study program versatility allows the graduate to be employed in all countries of the European Union in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries in jobs requiring a master’s degree education. After additional training, they will find positions in other technical areas, thanks to the acquired technical way of thinking. The graduate of this study program is characterized by their in-depth knowledge of material and energy balances effects that take place in continuous and batch processes with exchange of matter and energy, which is helpful in better understanding of the physical fundamental of these processes to optimize to reduce energy consumption, carbon footprint and overall environmental impacts on the one hand and on the other hand to increase the production quantity and quality of overall work productivity. The graduate is characterized by in-depth knowledge of the course, thermodynamics and kinetics of chemical reactions taking place in chemical and food technology processes, as well as their side effects on production and the environment. They master various ways of measuring physical properties and can process, analyse, and evaluate them. The graduate can work independently and as a part of a team. The graduate can apply the latest theoretical knowledge to solve practical problems, while being able to independently assess various solutions and choose the most effective considering the benefit and cost aspect. They will be employed in companies not only in the chemical industry, where the knowledge of chemical technologies is considered an advantage, but also in companies focused on logistics, economics, management, and possibly also in finance and banking. They can work as a middle management in chemical and food companies, in economic, commercial, technical, and human resources departments, and has the prerequisites to do business in the field of production and services focused primarily on chemical and food technologies. Graduates do not have problem finding a job immediately they leaving university. Most of them work in the areas of technical and scientific activities, coordination of state and international systems in multidisciplinary programs EU, industrial production.
