Employability of graduates

Graduates of the Electronics study program can continue their engineering or master's studies in subsequent study programs or in programs of a related focus. The universality of this bachelor's study program allows the graduate to be employed in all countries of the European Union in the industry related to electronics, circuit technology and electrical engineering, wherever a first-level university education is required. Graduates can also work in related industrial fields (construction, mechanical engineering, transport, environmental science, etc.), where the cooperation of these fields with electronics or acquired competencies of the graduate. The advantage of a graduate of this study program is broad-spectrum knowledge starting with electronic elements and ending with complex electronic devices, the activities of which the graduate understands and knows how to implement in various technical areas. Graduates of the study program find employment on the labour market in all relevant sectors of the economy - in the private, public and state sectors, especially in the positions of the designer of electronic systems with management elements, which is especially suitable in dynamic developing small and medium-sized industrial companies of the EU.

Examples of professions the graduate is prepared for

Specialist electrical designer, Designer of electrical equipment, Designer of electrical equipment, Strategic buyer, Manager (manager) in the field of marketing.

Examples of successful graduates

The absolute majority of graduates of the Electronics study program continue their studies in a follow-up engineering study at FEI STU in the Electronics and Photonics study program.

Statements of employers or regulators

"The Electronics study program is built in such a way that a successful graduate has a suitable technical knowledge base that can be applied in practice while also being able to specialize in the most important aspects of the electronic and electrotechnical industry. This qualification makes a graduate of ŠP Elektronika applicable in most electrical engineering professions."This is not the case for regulated professions. Due to the fact that all graduates of the Electronics study program continued their studies at Ing. degree, we did not ask the employers for an opinion.
