A graduate of the bachelor’s degree study program Production Processes and Materials in the Mechanical Engineering field of study can orient himself in technical documentation and standards, he/she is able to search, summarize and evaluate the necessary information.

Skillset

He/she can solve research and development tasks in engineering production, cooperates in the development and application of new processes. He/she can analyze data, process technological solutions for engineering products, jigs, tools, and equipment; prepare reports and technical documentation for them.

Competencies

He/she can propose measures to improve production processes and quality of products in engineering production. He/she can determine and optimally use production and work capacities at workplaces of engineering production, control the technological discipline, work procedures and hygiene according to the relevant documentation.

A graduate of the study field of Mechanical Engineering, bachelor's degree program of Mechanical Engineering Technologies and Materials will receive a complete first-degree university education in the field of mechanical engineering with an orientation to mechanical engineering technologies of welding, forming, casting, machining and heat treatment and is ready for the second level of university studies. He will gain practical experience in the technologies of arc and flame welding, plastic welding, surface and volume forming, casting applied to low-melting metals and tooling and machinery for these technologies. He has basic knowledge of structural metallic and non-metallic materials and their application and testing in mechanical engineering, in the automotive industry and in the production of tools for metal forming and plastic injection. Understands the basics of technical production preparation issues. The graduate will be employed as a technologist in the technical preparation of production, in the introduction and operation of production-technological systems and in the solution of technological and material operational problems, able to use information technologies. This is confirmed by the interest of manufacturing organizations in bachelor's degree graduates, primarily from the automotive industry, consumer engineering and electrical engineering industries.
