Employability of graduates

There is a specialized website www.uplatnenie.sk where you can find data on the application of graduates of individual study programs of all degrees of study. Unfortunately, for the study program Measurement and Testing, the page states that for a small number of graduates it does not have enough data to show their application. Therefore, it can only be based on similar data for other study programs of the engineering degree at the Faculty of Engineering of STU in Bratislava. Overall, the data on the website shows that 71% of engineering graduates at the STU Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in 2019 were employed, 7% work on contract, 5% are unemployed, 4% are unemployed, 6% are continuing their studies, and 6% are others. That is, only 4% of all graduates are unemployed, so it can be assumed that similar excellent employment also applies to graduates of the Measurement and Testing study program.

Examples of professions the graduate is prepared for

A graduate of the Measurement and Testing study program in the field of Mechanical Engineering is prepared to study the third level of university studies, especially in the follow-up study program Metrology in the field of Mechanical Engineering. If a graduate of the Measurement and Testing study program decides to go into practice, he/she applies as - senior specialist at metrology service providers in regulated and unregulated areas, responsible for applying current trends in the given area of measurement and testing, - management and analytical worker in institutions from the field of quality infrastructure, focused on the introduction of new methodological procedures and concepts - managing and expert technical staff of quality assurance departments from all areas of industry, especially mechanical engineering - manager of professional projects in the field of measurement and testing - research and professional worker with a focus on metrological support of professional activities

Examples of successful graduates

The following list shows successful graduates of the Measurement and Testing study program who completed their studies in the last three academic years. The employment of specific graduates is not systematically monitored, therefore the list contains only graduates who responded to the request for providing information: Ing. Liliana Bessonová – Stellantis Slovakia – supply and transport technician Ing. Vladimír Karlík – Presná, s.r.o. – system manager Ing. Kristián Kleštinec - MicroStep, spol. Ltd. - researcher Ing. Martina Páleníková – ÚNMS SR – employee of the central state administration body in the field of metrology Ing. Michal Slezák – ÚNMS SR – employee of the central state administration body in the field of metrology Ing. Monika Tremarzo – Memry Corporation (USA) – quality controller Ing. Petra Virteľová – AREKO, s.r.o. – calibration technician / metrologist Among the graduates of the Measurement and Testing study program who completed their studies in the 2019/2020 academic year, three graduates started doctoral studies in the Metrology study program in an internal form in the 2020/2021 academic year: Ing. Andrej Majstrík Ing. Daniela Mižišinová Ing. George Sammarah From the mentioned list, it follows that the graduates were employed in fields related to the subject of their studies, which confirms the appropriateness of the focus of the study program Measurement and testing and at the same time confirms the good applicability of these graduates on the labor market.

Statements of employers or regulators

Several organizations commented on the quality of the study program and the readiness of its graduates to fulfill professional tasks in practice. Their assessment confirms the high credit of the study programs at the STU Faculty of Engineering, which are oriented towards metrology and quality. Among them is also the study program Measurement and testing in the engineering degree. The following commented on the Measurement and Testing study program: 1.
