Knowledge

Graduate ● has a systematic, comprehensive and complex set of knowledge in the field of methods and means of informatics and their application in a wide range of areas from problem specification, through the design and implementation of their algorithmic and non-algorithmic solutions, analysis of the properties of the solution, to the properties of software and technical means of informatics, ● understands a wide range of topics within a multidisciplinary context that are directly applicable to problem solving based on real-world needs.

Skillset

Graduate ● masters scientific methods of research and development in the field of applied informatics with a particular focus on methods and means of designing informatics tools, software models and tools for solving problems of selected problem areas, ● can analyse the current state of research in the subject area, search for open scientific problems, formulate, verify and evaluate new hypotheses.

Competencies

Graduate ● can independently solve challenging scientific problems in a wide range of areas of information and communication systems, in which he/she can creatively apply advanced methods and techniques of design and development of information and communication technology applications, ● can work creatively on current research and development problems as well as present the results of research and development to the professional national and international community, ● is characterised by critical, independent and analytical thinking in changing conditions, ● has the ability to learn, enabling him/her to pursue further individual education, ● has the ability to work independently, to work in a team and to lead a team, ● understands applied computer science as a discipline and field of knowledge and as a profession in its wider societal context, ● is aware of the social, ethical, legal and economic context and responsibilities of their profession.
