Profile courses

Employability of graduates

The structure and quality of the educational process is the basis for the successful application of bachelor graduates in practice. A high proportion of project work and production and professional practice of 6 weeks create good prerequisites for rapid adaptation of graduates to the requirements of practice. On the other hand, the application of bachelor graduates is currently limited by the interest of employers and by the low interest of bachelor graduates themselves in going into practice. Almost all bachelor graduates are interested in continuing their studies at the second cycle. The applicability of students of the Faculty of Energy Machinery and Equipment offered at SJF STU in Bratislava can be verified from publicly available sources, for example on the website uplatnenie.sk. The results of the analytical website for the last two years document that the majority of graduates of the Bachelor's degree continue their studies in the subsequent second cycle of the second cycle of studies.

Examples of professions the graduate is prepared for

The study is oriented to a wide range of machines and equipment used in the production, transformation and accumulation of various forms of energy with regard to production safety and ecological requirements. A graduate of the 1st degree (Bc.) with knowledge of the construction and operation of energy machines and equipment, legislation, ecology, ergonomics, economics, business and management is able to work in every sphere of the national economy in areas related to the production, construction and operation of energy systems, machines and equipment. He/she is able to carry out, alone or in a team, simple structural designs and modifications of energy machinery and equipment and to manage the operation of selected energy units.

Examples of successful graduates

As stated in the preceding paragraph, all graduates of the bachelor's degree program who will graduate in the 2019 academic year

Statements of employers or regulators

It is clear from the statistical data presented in (3) that bachelor's degree graduates (with one exception) go on to a second cycle of study and therefore it is not possible to obtain relevant information from employers in the industrial sphere. They are not aplicable, it is not a preparation for regulated professions
