Profile courses

Employability of graduates

There is a specialized website uplatnenie.sk, where you can find data on the application of graduates of individual study programs of all degrees of study. Unfortunately, for the study program Environmental Production Technology, the page states that for the small number of graduates in 2019, it does not have enough data to show their application. Therefore, it can only be based on similar data for the year 2018, or for other bachelor's degree study programs at the Faculty of Engineering of STU in Bratislava. It follows from them that 90-99% of graduates of bachelor's study programs in 2019 (the site does not provide more recent data) continued their studies, while it can be logically assumed that they studied in subsequent study programs at the engineering level. It is likely that such a high number of graduates who continue on to the engineering degree also applies to the study program Environmental Production Technology. Information on applying to graduates from 2018 is presented on this website, and thus we present: Results about graduates graduating in 2018 (https://uplatnenie.sk/?degree=V%C5%A0&vs=702000000&faculty=702020000&field=2329R22&year=2018 ) - number of graduates: 16, - gender of graduates: 81% men, 19% women, - positions in which graduates work: 88% continuing their studies, 6% employed, 6% working on contract - unemployment rate: 0%.

Examples of professions the graduate is prepared for

Graduate of the Environmental Production Technology study program: ● is ready to study the 2nd degree of university studies and, using the acquired knowledge and skills, can directly continue studying in subsequent engineering study programs in the field of Mechanical Engineering with a focus on production and environmental technology, production technologies, construction of machines and equipment. ● apply as (according to the System of Occupations at sustavapovolani.sk): Specialist technologist in wood processing, Technician of automated control systems of energy equipment with a focus on RES, Engineering specialist technologist, Process specialist in engineering production, Technical worker (manager) in engineering production, Engineering quality control technician, environmental protection technician in industrial production, recycling (recovery) technician.

Examples of successful graduates

As stated in the previous point, all graduates of the bachelor's study program Environmental Production Technology, who completed their studies in the academic year 2019/2020, continue in the academic year 2020/2021 on the engineering degree. Among them are also Bc. Denis Poliak, Bc. Stanislav Strigáč and Bc. Nikola Šišoláková. The same can be said about the graduates of this course in the academic year 2018/2019, currently studying at the engineering degree: Bc. Martin Baláž, Bc. Erik Horváth, Bc. Viktor Kálman, Bc. Michal Surgáč, and Bc. Filip Štetina.

Statements of employers or regulators

Statement by MicroStep, s.r.o. to the assessed study programm: Dear guarantor of study programs, long-term intensive cooperation of MicroStep, s.r.o. with the Institute of Production Systems, Environmental Technology and Quality Management we can document both in the field of pedagogy and scientific research. In the field of pedagogy, our cooperation is carried out both in the field of education in the form of various professional seminars for students on topics from the field of progressive methods of dividing materials, cooperation on final theses, organizing excursions and ensuring the professional practice of students, and also in the field of scientific research, which we expands possibilities and creates support for our domestic and foreign projects. The result of cooperation in education is several successful diploma theses, defended doctoral theses (Gros, Smelík) as well as ongoing doctoral studies (Varga). Our company permanently financially supports the faculty in the promotion of technical education. Proof of this is our annual involvement in the Mechanical Engineering Olympiad as well as permanent advertising of our company on the grounds of the faculty. In the field of science and research, it is mainly a joint solution of science and research projects. We can declare this by solving three projects within the "motivational incentives" challenge: • "CNC machines for dividing materials with solid fiber lasers" • "Research of technological nodes of an automated line for the production of segments of steel structures" • "Research of technological nodes of CNC machines for dividing materials using energy beam technologies" Within these projects, the faculty dealt with the construction and design of automated component production systems. These were mainly specific goals, such as: • Detailed design of the mechatronic concept of the solution (design of the concept of mechanical nodes, design of the control concept, design of the fiber laser concept, guidance and processing of the laser beam) • Applied research of mechanical components and the control system (design of the mechanics of the cutting head, other mechanical components and creation of a mathematical model of the machine, design of components to ensure the safety of operating the machine model, design of the control system and control algorithms of the machine model) In cooperation with the Faculty of Engineering of STU in Bratislava, we also solved three APVV projects, and in November 2021 we submitted another joint APVV project entitled "The influence of progressive materials, structural solutions and adaptive control on increasing the accuracy of large-area energy beam CNC cutting centers". The documents of the study programs that we assessed reflect the latest trends in the field of production and environmental technology and are in accordance with the needs defined in the strategic documents of the Slovak government and the improvement of the quality of education provided by the university. These study programs provide quality education, which is documented by the very good employment of highly qualified creative graduates in our company. What can be a better sign of evaluation of the quality of the study than the desired graduates who work in the field they graduated from. They are not aplicable, it is not a preparation for regulated professions
