Profile courses

Employability of graduates

Graduate of the Electrical Power Engineering study programme can continue in the doctoral study in the following Electrical Power Engineering study programme or related technical fields. The versatility of this engineering study programme allows the graduate to be employed in all countries of the European Union in the industry associated with electrical power engineering and lighting technology wherever the second level of higher education is required. The graduate can also find a job in related industrial fields (construction industry, mechanical engineering, transport, environmental science, etc.), where the cooperation of these fields with the electrical power industry or acquired competencies of the graduate is required. The graduate is skilful in the production and research area in the electrical power industry and related areas. The advantage of a graduate of the Electrical Power Engineering study programme is a complex and broad-spectrum knowledge, beginning with static and dynamic phenomena in the power system, through associated areas such as power electronics, modern electrical drive systems, cables and lighting technology, and up to specific domains such as smart grids or building installations. The graduate understands how to implement acquired skills and habits in various technical areas. The graduate of the study programme can find employment on the labour market in all relevant sectors of the economy – private, public and state sectors, in particular in the positions of designers, developers and technicians in various types of enterprises or their self-standing business activities.
