The total number of classrooms and laboratories at the faculty in which teaching is planned during the academic year is 67. Classrooms for teaching are divided into general classrooms and auditoriums for teaching common subjects and special classrooms and laboratories that are specific to a particular study program. The material equipment of the Institute of Industrial Engineering and Management consists of the equipment of individual laboratories and the software necessary to carry out research activities. The work analysis laboratory is located in building T02 in room 2.205, it creates space for modelling and evaluation of relations in the human-machine subsystem on physical and virtual models of variants of analysed workplaces and work situations. The laboratory creates a space for education and the provision of training, and in the laboratory it is possible to carry out basic and applied research for the purposes of research projects, business activities and for the solution of bachelor's and diploma theses for companies. Currently, the laboratory is prepared for anthropometric measurements and the demonstration of the measuring technique necessary for the measurement of indicators guaranteeing OSH and also for the demonstration of the measurement of the physical performance of the organism. In the laboratory there are also training games focusing on industrial engineering (e.g. for Kanban, 5S, SMEC, TractorMotive, etc.) MS Project Professional IT laboratory – is located in room T02 2.203, and is oriented towards computer support of project management, statistical analysis and management of business processes. The laboratory has 20 laptops, an interactive whiteboard and a projector. To support project management, Microsoft Project is used, which offers effective tools for project management and is aimed at defining a detailed plan for the future, updating information during the project and comparing it with the original plan. For statistical analysis, the IT laboratory has application software for statistical data processing (IBM SPSS Statistics Premium), which can be used e.g. for advanced analysis and presentation of data, mathematical-statistical processing of experimental data, creation of reports and outputs to the information system. Application software for data and network analysis (IBM SPSS Modeler Professional) can be used e.g. when identifying customers prone to leaving for competitors, identifying risky loan applicants, etc. Application software for Internet data collection, processing and visualization (IBM SPSS Data Collection) serves to support the systematic process of data collection and processing (purchased within the framework of the ESF project from OP Human Resources - ITMS: 26110230115 - Centre for the development of competences in the field of industrial engineering and management). The laboratory of corporate information systems and the Digital Enterprise - is located in room T02. 2.202, creates space for teaching business information systems. The laboratory has 20 + 1 PC sets, an interactive whiteboard and a short projector. It is equipped with the Technomatix Manufacturing Academic Bundle software package, specifically the Process Simulate and Plant Simulation modules, thereby creating the potential for the development of cooperation with industrial practice. The laboratory is in the stage of interim completion and expansion in terms of SW equipment. Laboratory for research on personal aspects of Human-Technology Interaction – is located in room T02 2.109, the laboratory provides a space for targeted training of industrial engineers and managers employed in industry. It is designed for the identification and subsequent targeted development of complex skills, necessary for practical application in industrial engineering and management of industrial enterprises. The laboratory is also aimed at exploring the preconditions for effective Human-Technology Interaction and successful adaptation to new technologies. Laboratory for Collaborative Industrial Applications and Systems Optimization – is located in room T02 2.201, the laboratory is equipped with 12+1 computers and advanced technologies for the automation and optimization of industrial processes. Research activities focus on intelligent automation, human-robot collaboration, the use of a cobot for product surface quality inspection, and improving the efficiency of industrial operations. The laboratory also facilitates the teaching of courses such as Operational Research, Production Management and Logistics, Engineering of Quality Production and Integrated System, and Career Management and Employee Development. The laboratory "Digital enterprise and virtual reality" creates space for modelling, simulation and optimization of production performance of the system, it is possible to find out the utilization of equipment and operators, continuous production time, maximum and average inventory in individual warehouses or the impact of non-delivery on the required production. It is also possible to verify the behaviour of the system in extreme situations (e.g. long-term machine downtime), which can be tested in the "safe world of the computer model". The laboratory is equipped with the Technomatix Manufacturing Academic Bundle software package, specifically the Plant Simulation module, AVIX - workflow digitization software. In addition, the lab is equipped with HTC 3D glasses, Hololens and MagicLleap augmented reality glasses and a desktop 3D scanner. In the laboratory it is possible to teach the subjects of the Industrial Engineering SP. Students can use the laboratory to the best of their ability by solving theses or theses of a similar or related nature in the technical fields of the School of Industrial Engineering or a similar or related field. The lab creates the potential for developing collaborations with companies in the automotive industry and other companies (e.g. education provider, etc.) in the Digital Enterprise. All this technology brings the possibility to actually view the planned and analysed models before they physically exist in the real world, or before the actual implementation of changes to existing workplaces.

Study programmes are implemented in full-time form with the fact that selected pedagogical activities (e.g. submitting semestral works focused on information technologies) can also be implemented remotely. In an emergency situation, most subjects can be implemented fully remotely, as was the case in the academic years 2019/2020 and 2020/2021. The rules for transitioning to the distance form are regulated by the Study Regulations of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, as amended by Addenda No. 1 and 2. – Article 48. https://www.stuba.sk/sk/studium/legislativa-v-oblasti-vzdelavania/studijny-poriadok-stu.html?page_id=4560 Part of the teaching in the full-time combined method of study is implemented remotely using information and communication technologies and supporting study materials. More information is provided in the course information sheets. During the emergency situation, courses can be delivered remotely via Google Meet or Microsoft Teams.
Partners from practice in the provision of educational activities of the study programme participate in: - excursions e.g. ŽOS Trnava, a.s., Stellantis Trnava, Amazon, etc. - lectures by experts from practice, e.g. on the subject Fundamentals of Production Management of a company from OSRAM, a.s.; on the subject Enterprise Logistics of the company Amazon, Basics of quality management of Eaton Industries; - realization of bachelor theses in companies, e.g. IAC Group (Slovakia) s.r.o.
