- will obtain a comprehensive three-level university education with mastery of the principles and methods of analysis, design and management of complex electrotechnical, electric power, thermal and lighting equipment and systems; - is an expert in the field of electrical engineering with a focus on electric power engineering; - has knowledge of highly specialized areas of the scientific field; - has superior knowledge of programming and the use of various computer numerical simulation environments. He/she controls modern information and communication technologies and knows how to use them appropriately in his practice; - acquired abilities and skills profile the graduate of doctoral studies as a universal personality capable of establishing himself in other areas of technology.

Skillset

- mastery of basic and advanced mathematical algorithms from defined areas of knowledge and their creative and scientific application in solving problems of the field; - creative application of knowledge from natural sciences - physics and specialized knowledge from theoretical electrical engineering to solve the problems of the field; - the use of the acquired knowledge necessary for the above-standard use of informatics and computer technology, for the acquisition or computer processing of selected types of information and for the creative use of knowledge from programming languages, computer networks and other elements of computer literacy; - the ability to sort and evaluate professional and scientific information, independently propose new technical solutions and verify them in practice, - the ability to analyze economic and ecological connections of technical works and processes in the field of electric power, - the ability to scientifically research and bring own solutions for theory and electric power practice. - the principles of scientific work of the link research - development - production - use in the scientific formulation of the problem, - recognizes the legal, economic and ecological aspects of new products, - recognizes the ethical and social aspects of scientific work, - is able/knowledgeable to present scientific results and takes professional and scientific opinions.

Graduates of the Electrical Power Engineering study program find employment on the labor market in all relevant sectors of the economy - in the private, public and state sectors. Their knowledge is defined by the profile of the graduate and the supporting topics of the study field of Electrical Power Engineering. A graduate of the doctoral study program Electrical Power Engineering can apply in particular: - in research in an academic or research organization of the EU, wherever in-depth knowledge of diagnostics of insulation systems in the electric power industry, economic and legislative aspects of the electric power industry, issues of smart materials, electric machines, drives and materials, renewable energy sources, lighting technology and complex processes in the electricity system; - in academic or research organizations at the level of management of smaller or larger scientific collectives or groups; - in industrial practice in the development of systems, methods, technical procedures and complex solutions, where he can bring new and original solutions; - in the energy and electrotechnical industry, in strategic planning and crisis management, and in other technical and managerial interdisciplinary professions, wherever large-scale problems related to the development of not only new elements, devices and systems, but above all new principles and methods must be solved;
