According to the latest edition of the QS World University Ranking 2027, one of the most prestigious rankings, STU improved its ranking despite the increase in the number of rated universities.
According to the QS World University Ranking 2027, which rated almost 9,000 universities from all over the world, the Slovak University of Technology ranked in a shared 951st to 1,000th place. Almost a hundred new rated universities were added year-on-year. Last year, STU ranked between 1001st and 1200th.
"We are very pleased to be among the thousand best universities in the world. Besides satisfaction, we feel strong encouragement and stimulus for further work and progress. We do not consider the ranking as a goal, but as an indicator within the University and an important orientation parameter for potential STU students, teachers, scientists or partners. I believe that we can be even better," responded Maximilián Strémy, the STU Rector.
STU ranked best in Slovakia in the evaluation of reputation among academics, in international research, sustainability and in the evaluation of the University's reputation among employers. STU has the best ranking in all of Slovakia in reputation among employers. The criteria used by the QS World University Rankings 2027 to evaluate universities include the number of international students, the ratio of students to one faculty member, the university's reputation in the academic sphere, the university's reputation among employers, employment results, citations per faculty, the number of international educators within the faculty, international research and sustainability of the university.
