The new EIT Community Hub Slovakia offers grant opportunities for students, teachers, and researchers at STU. Slovakia has access to a number of interesting grant calls within the EIT initiatives and the Horizon Europe program, which are intended for students, doctoral students, and academic staff. The newly established EIT Community Hub Slovakia serves as a single point of contact that brings together all EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) in Slovakia and supports the identification and development of synergies between the EIT community and local actors. It strengthens the local business environment and builds bridges between local and European innovation networks. STU is a founding member of EIT Manufacturing and represents the EIT Manufacturing Hub in Slovakia.
The European Institute of Innovation and Technology is one of the most dynamic institutions in Europe. Its unique approach is based on the so-called knowledge triangle – linking education, research and entrepreneurship. Every year, it distributes hundreds of millions of euros to support cutting-edge research, education, start-ups and regional innovation. Since 2014, Slovakia has received more than €44 million from EIT sources. Nevertheless, compared to some countries, Slovakia still has considerable room for growth and development within the EIT ecosystem. Slovakia ranks 12th in total EIT funding – and this can change thanks to your active participation.
