- Croatia, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium and Malta are eliminated from the list of the low-risk countries from September, 1 2020 due to the worsening epidemiological situation. Greece remains in the list for the moment, however, it is possible that it will be changed in a short time due to the worsening situation. Epidemiologists recommend to consider the necessity of travelling to this country.
- The experts have again specified risky regions in less risky countries, and they recommend to consider the necessity of travelling to those countries. In the Czech Republic, those regions are Prague and Vysočina region, in Austria those are Vienna, Upper Austria and Tyrol. In Poland, the regions are Pomeranian Voivodeship, Silesian Voivodeship and Lesser Poland Voivodeship, the most risky regions in Greece are Notio Aigaio, Ionia Nisia and Kentriki Makedonia. In the United Kingdom the regions are the Tayside and the North West, in Ireland there are the Mid-East and Midwest. In Estonia, it is the region Ida-Viru Maakond and in Denmark Midtjylland. If you are in those regions, please note to keep following the measures against the spread of the disease COVID-19: keep social distance, wash your hands carefully or use disinfection, wear face masks inside the public places and in places with high concentration of people. Coming from the risky regions from the less risky countries, you do not need to stay at home and self-isolation, neither to get examined for COVID-19.
- All persons entering the territory of the Slovak Republic (after September, 1 2020 7:00 am), who have visited an EU country which is not on the list of the less risky countries (which means it is a risky “red” country) within the last 14 days and at the same time have not visited a non-EU risky country, are obliged to stay at home and self-isolation until they receive a negative RT-PCR test for COVID-19. In case of no symptoms during the self-isolation, there is a possibility to end the isolation on the 10th day even without the examination for COVID-19.
- There are different rules for persons entering the territory of the Slovak Republic (after September, 1 2020) who have visited a non-EU risky country within the last 14 days. They are obliged to stay at home and self-isolation until they receive a negative RT-PCR test for COVID-19 which can be done on the 5th day at the earliest of their self-isolation. In this case, there is no possibility to end the isolation without the examination for COVID-19. The monitored data shows that the most part of the imported infections came to Slovakia from these countries.
- Persons coming from Ukraine after September, 1 2020 have to register at https://korona.gov.sk/en/ before crossing the Slovak borders and have to show a confirmation of registration to the members of the police when crossing the borders. They cannot enter the territory of the Slovak Republic without the confirmation.
- People coming from the risky countries, who will be subject to the obligation of self-isolation under the measure, have to be monitored by their employers. The employees, respectively self-employed persons, will have to prove their self-isolation for example by providing a negative RT-PCR test or a confirmation of crossing the frontiers of the Slovak Republic older than 10 days. If the person is not able to show the confirmation, the employer will be obliged to inform the relevant regional Public Health Authority and the person will be refused from the entry to all the properties of the workplace.
- One way of electronic registration is to fill the form on the web page: https://korona.gov.sk/en/ehranica/, where persons have to fill their phone number, place of their home isolation and their attending physician. Based on these data, the relevant Public Health Authority will make their appointment for COVID-19 examination no earlier than on the 5th day after their arrival to the Slovak Republic.
- If the persons coming from any foreign countries develop symptoms of a respiratory disease, they have to contact their attending physician by phone and inform him about their travel history. The physician then determines the next steps of the diagnosis and treatment. The same applies to persons who develop symptoms of a respiratory disease and know that they have been in contact with a person who has come from abroad.
