The teaching takes place through study courses; each course has a professional instructor and is practically focused. After completing a study course, the participant gets a certificate.
Key courses in the pilot year 2026/2027 include topics such as:
The Uni2Teach format, focused on modern higher education pedagogy, offers practical guidance on how to create clear, engaging, and motivating learning experiences. Participants will learn how to formulate effective learning outcomes and align them with assessment, as well as how to use active learning methods to transform students from passive listeners into active participants in the learning process. The lectures are primarily intended for doctoral students and early-career university teachers, but also for anyone interested in exploring established principles of higher education pedagogy from a fresh perspective.

Learning Outcomes and Assessment in Harmony
Date and venue: 8. October | Lecturer: Assoc. Prof. Jana Pócsová, PhD.
Lecture will be presented on the online Learning system: Moodle
Annotation: How can learning outcomes be defined so that students clearly understand what is expected of them and why? And how can these outcomes be aligned with assessment so that assessment becomes a natural part of learning rather than merely a final check of achievement?
This lecture provides a practical perspective on designing learning outcomes across the full spectrum of competencies, from subject-specific knowledge and skills (hard skills) to communication, teamwork, and other transferable competencies (soft skills). Particular attention will be given to assessment as an effective communication tool through which educators signal what they value and provide feedback that supports student learning.
The lecture is aimed primarily at doctoral students and beginning university teachers, but also at anyone interested in reconsidering well-known principles of higher education pedagogy in a new context. It will present an overview of modern and transparent assessment approaches, including tests, rubrics, portfolios, and self-assessment, together with practical ideas that can be directly applied in teaching practice.
Active Learning for the Next Generation of Engineers
Date and venue: 22. October | Lecturer: Assoc. Prof. Jana Pócsová, PhD.
The lecture will be presented on the online Learning system: Moodle
Annotation: How can students be moved beyond the role of passive listeners and actively engaged in the educational process? Is it possible to achieve this without redesigning an entire course from scratch?
This lecture presents widely used active learning strategies whose effectiveness has been validated by research in higher education pedagogy and which are increasingly employed at technically oriented universities. Special attention will be paid to approaches that can be introduced gradually, without extensive preparation or major changes to existing courses, while significantly increasing student engagement and the dynamism of the learning environment.
The lecture is intended primarily for doctoral students and early-career university teachers, but also for anyone seeking new ways to engage students more actively. In addition to providing an overview of specific strategies, the lecture will offer practical guidance on how to start using active learning, integrate it naturally into one’s own teaching, and evaluate whether the implemented changes are delivering the intended outcomes.
