Knowledge

Graduate:

• has gained considerable knowledge in physics phenomena and methods used for investigating the structure and properties of materials (mechanical, thermal, electric, magnetic, and optical);
• has gained knowledge of nuclear reactors physical processes, operation safety, neutronics, measurement, regulation, dosimetry, and radioactive waste disposal.

Skillset

Graduate:

• is able to understand the physical processes taking place inside materials at the macroscopic and microscopic level, complex operation of a nuclear reactor with respect to peripheral units and impact on environment;
• is ready to study PhD programme with the possibility of deepening knowledge in the field of physical engineering or nuclear energy.

• creative individual with societal conscience;
• an expert in the area of nuclear engineering and engineering physics;
• able to follow contemporary trends in science and technology in his field of endeavor;

Employability of graduates

The Nuclear and Physical Engineering graduate can find profession in various fields of electric engineering, most notably in the fields of nuclear plant operation and decommissioning and engineering of materials. He or she can find him/her self as a successful team member or leader in the area of research and technology where analysis of material objects and the processes inherent in them is required. This concerns various positions in the private and public domain such as designer, designing engineer, operation engineer, process engineer and such. The graduate can find employment focused on progressive materials, electric engineering, health, the environment, and nuclear energy.
