The European Higher Education Fair Kazakhstan 2015 was held on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan. The Fair brought together 80 exhibitors (higher-education institutions and national agencies and embassies) from across the European Union promote their education systems and studying opportunities in EU.
The Fair was open to anyone interested in finding out more about the wealth of opportunities available for studying in universities in the European Union – at all levels, from Bachelor’s, through Master’s, to PhD levels.
Four Slovak universities and also one Slovak agency participated on fair: University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice, University of Economics in Bratislava, University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius, Slovak Academic Information Agency and Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.
The Conference on "The Cooperation in the higher‐education sphere between the European Union and the Republic of Kazakhstan" was held on Monday 28 September. It was open to higher education institutions in Kazakhstan who wish to identify opportunities for co-operation with European institutions. As well as the opportunity to meet suitable partners, there was also a programme of sessions on internationalization of higher education and presentations of successful case studies.
The aim of the conference was to highlight achievements in cooperation in the sphere of higher education between the Republic of Kazakhstan and European Union, and to discuss the possibilities for further joint activities. The conference was held within the framework of the EU-funded project ”European Higher Education Fairs (EHEF) in Central Asia and Asia”.
