STU has got approved a new Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility project
Following a successful implementation of an Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) project in 2016, the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava submitted a new application in the 2017 Erasmus+ Call for Proposals and in June 2017 it got approved a new project under Key Action 1 – Individual learning mobility /Cooperation with Partner countries: "Student and Staff Mobility in Higher Education between Programme and Partner countries“.
Project duration: 26 months: 01/06/2017 – 31/07/2019
The project is going to support international mobility of students and staff (113 mobility flows) in the framework of inter-institutional agreements signed between the Slovak University of Technology and higher education institutions from Partner countries – countries outside the EU. The STU has been awarded a grant for cooperating with 10 institutions from 8 Partner countries.
Unlike mobility implemented within Erasmus+ Programme countries (countries within the EU), the administration and coordination of an ICM project is ensured by the beneficiary organisation on behalf of the whole consortium of project partners.
Partner countries and institutions:
Brazil, Sergio Arouca National School of Public Health (ENSP)
China, East China Normal University (ECNU)
China, Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT)
Canada, University of Alberta (UoA)
Cuba, Universidad Central " Marta Abreu" de Las Villas (UCLV)
Serbia, University of Novi Sad (UNS)
Sri Lanka, International College of Business and Technology (ICBT)
Sri Lanka, University of Peradeniya (UP)
Ukraine, National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" (NTU khPI)
Vietnam, National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE)
The project focuses mainly on funding incoming foreign students and staff from partner universities (67). Nevertheless, 46 students and staff from STU can in the period 2017 - 2019 go for mobility to one of the above mentioned countries. The selection of participants depends on criteria to be agreed upon in cooperation with the liaison in individual Partner countries.
